Blues
From its origins as spirituals and work songs by African Americans in the late 19th century, Blues has evolved through Jazz and Rock 'n' Roll for its expression to be left on later generations. Most famous about Blues is the 12 bar structure, and the flattening of select notes in the scale, giving the recognisable powerful sound. Often realised on guitar, piano, harmonica and voice.
